• Redesigned website, logo/brand, monthly magazine, and publicity collateral for venerable Los Angeles historical site and scientific education center, to commemorate its $93-million renovation.
• Created archiving system and supervised digital collection of 71 years of images and artwork.

• Designed and laid out color and inside pages for a daily newspaper with a circulation of 100,000.

The Chronicle of Higher Education, Washington, DC, 2000—2004
• Designed and laid out 48-to-120-page weekly newspaper, with circulation of over 90,000. Responsible for cover/contents/“Short Subjects” news pages, and more.
• Designed and produced charts, diagrams, maps, and illustrations for feature articles on diverse topics.
• Created promotional materials for publication and its sister, The Chronicle of Philanthropy. Frequently called upon to create in-house corporate materials such as handbooks and staff event materials.

Violet Ink Printing, Glen Burnie, MD: 1999—2000
• Oversaw all aspects of print/design process, and managed client relationships, from pitch meeting and initial design session through delivery, for projects with budgets from $200 to $200,000.
• Designed client materials, including corporate identity kits, textbooks, restaurant menus, promotional fliers. Edited ad copy for banks, restaurants, private consultants, and many other businesses.

Morphius Records, Baltimore, MD: 1997—99
• Designed and produced full spectrum of music collateral for music replication company, including CD/vinyl album/cassette jackets and liner notes; labels, stickers, posters, and logos.
• Promoted independent record label’s artists. Booked three national tours and managed distribution sales effort. Wrote and designed press releases, national magazine ad copy, posters, t-shirts, catalogs, and other promotional materials.
